$100 professional fee for the year, plus $5 material fees for fall sewing class. Total cost for the year is $105.

SEWING COURSE DESCRIPTION AND FEES
Fee: $5
First Semester Machine Sewing
The first semester we will concentrate on making a simple purse with a strap and Velcro closure. The students will develop the basic sewing skills of cutting, pinning, sewing and ironing. Students should bring a sewing machine, spool(s) of thread and bobbins, pins, and FABRIC-CUTTING SCISSORS.
================ SPRING ================
EMBROIDERY COURSE DESCRIPTION
Fee: none; student provides project and sewing kit
Second Semester Embroidery or Cross-Stitch or Huck-towel weaving
During the second semester, students should bring an embroidery or other hand-sewing project to work on for the class hour. We will have a sewing circle, as of olde. I can also help with knitting if someone wants to learn or continue with a project.
Course Expectations:
Willingness to sew and do ones best, a cooperative attitude and patience will go a long way in this course.
Prerequisites:
Proficiency with scissors and basic needlework (pinning, using a needle and thread without help) is required. A sewing machine that you can bring into co-op is required.
