Public Speaking is a skill that will be used in every venue of life. In this class, we will learn public speaking in a fun, effective, non-threatening way. Through this approach, the students will learn to speak in front of others in a confident manner.
The focus will be on building confidence, learning tricks of successful public speaking, overcoming fear, delivering a clear message, knowing your audience and dealing with impromptu situations. This class will help students prepare to give reports, presentations and develop strategies for speaking in any public arena.
This is a fun way to get used to speaking in front of others!
Course Expectations:
It is very difficult for this class to function if students dont do their homework, so completed assignments are a must. Students are expected to prepare and present speeches and to participate in class activities.
Workload: Light to Moderate Homework

Student Provides: Folder, Paper, Pen/Pencils
Prerequisites:
Students must be able to write a 1 page report and be able to stand and speak in front of others.
