Grade Range: K-KIn this course we will discover the amazing world of Essential Oils. We will cover a variety of topics including:
*The history of aromatherapy
*Essential oil quality and primary production methods
*Chemistry of essential oils – How they do what they do
*Physical, emotional and spiritual healing
*Essential oil safety
*The 12 most common household oils
*The 12 oils of ancient scripture, including scripture reflections
*“There’s an oil for that!” Resources for finding the right oils to enhance the health of your family
Course Expectations:
In this fast-paced, smelly class you can expect to laugh and to experience many essential oils. Learning about essential oils can also bring you closer to God as you discover His immense love for you packed into the tiny healing molecules that you will meet. There is no cost for this class. Books or products presented can be purchased during the semester at a discount.
Prerequisites:
None.
Workload: There is no homework.
Amy is working towards becoming a certified aromatherapist and is studying to be a Licensed Spiritual Healer which will allow her to apply oils to others by means of anointing. She has been studying with and is certified by the Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education (CARE) and is knowledgeable about Bible Oils history, the chemistry of essential oils and several application techniques.
