Grade Range: 7-9Worst Case Scenario immerses students in real-world, complex problems. They will become part of the story. While searching for a solution, students simultaneously learn social studies, improve their skills in research, higher-order thinking, decision-making and more. Providing in depth, challenging and interesting projects.
This semester we will be learning about and helping an endangered animal. The black-footed ferret is the most endangered mammal in the US. Students are placed on a recovery team whose job is to assess whether Fort Collins, Colorado, is an appropriate site to re-introduce ferrets that were bred in captivity. In the process they learn about biomes, habitats, and human-animal interaction.
A little Homework some weeks but not all. Fee includes required workbook.
