This course will gently ease middle-school students into writing the five-paragraph essay. Students will learn to organize their thoughts in descriptive, narrative, persuasive, and mostly expository writings by using the four-square method. Once the method is learned, students will be challenged to improve their writing by adding stylistic elements and polishing their grammar. By using fun prompts and their own ideas, students will be able to confidently face the blank page and see that essay writing doesnt always have to be a chore.
