Grade Range: 3-5Class will begin with a beginning cursive lesson (warm-up) for about 15 minutes. This will include instruction on correct posture and correct letter formation. Students will then have practice time. (Cursive will be instructed as though students have had no previous cursive class, but is also a good reminder and practice for older and/or experienced cursive writers.)
The rest of the class will be devoted to grammar instruction and practice time. Also, I will incorporate reinforcement games and activities. Winston Grammar has 1 practice sheet per lesson. I will be sending home additional worksheets to be done during the week.
Students will be responsible for working on grammar and cursive for about 30 minutes a day and need to come to the first class with the Winston Grammar Basic Set Student Packet (I found this in the Christianbook.com catalog for $13.99). This is a year-long class.
Course Expectations:
Students are expected to participate in class and complete homework assignments.
Prerequisites:
Students need to be able to read and write at a 2nd/3rd grade level.
Teacher Provides: cursive practice sheets and class materials
Student Provides: Winston Grammar Basic Student Packet and pencil
Workload:
30 minutes a day for all homework – this may vary depending on the student.

Details:Class meets on Monday from 9:00 PM to 9:55 PM
