Self Defense and Situational Awareness
Description:
In this class, we will cover Situational Awareness, which will include a variety of self-defense scenarios. We will also cover things to watch out for as high school students begin to transition into a college setting. My class will cover basic hand to hand self-defense with some joint locks and pressure points.
Expectations: It is my expectation that students will come to class on time with good attitudes willing to participate in class activities, that they will be willing to learn, be respectful, and excited to push themselves to a higher level self-discipline while increasing their self-confidence and self-awareness.
Prerequisite: No previous experience is required. New students are welcome anytime.
Student Provides: Comfortable clothing and a willingness to listen to and abide by safety rules and teacher instructions. Uniforms are NOT required.
Workload: Light to Moderate (based on the individual’s ability)
