Lets Recycle! (OR Lets Go Green)
This class is more than teaching kids about recycling, it is about saving our environment and the planet of their future. When you hear recycling, do you just think about plastic/glass/metal that goes in your trash collection each week? There is much more to recycling than that. Students will learn how to help save the environment by getting involved at Co-Op, at home and at play. They will learn how recycling and composting work and the benefits of both. I hope to teach them how fun and rewarding it is to live a “green” lifestyle. I will teach them the dos and don’ts of recycling, we will make crafts from recycled products (aka upcycling) and much, much more. We will discuss recycling know-how, places that recycle, how to make money by recycling and the effects recycling has on our environment and our finances. If they have homework, it will be implementing what they have learned in at class.
