FY - This is a full year course, with the expectation that students will continue for the entire year

Technical Drawing will utilize drafting skills to create different forms of technical drawings. We will learn about various types of drawings. These could include mechanical, electrical, and industrial fields. We will be using Practical Drafting Applied Engineering Graphics Workbook. I will provide copies of the pages from the workbook. The student will need to supply the following:
Three-ring binder
Drawing paper
Drafting board (angled)
T-Square
Triangles – 30,60,90 45,45,90 adjustable is nice as well
Masking tape
Mechanical Pencils - .5mm, .7mm and .9mm are preferred
Eraser (rubber)
Erasing shield
Adjustable compass
Scale rulers (metric and English)
Other instruments may be added if we need them.
Purchasing a drafting kit on Amazon would be easiest.
The goal is for each student to feel confident and comfortable with the various concepts and ideas required to create a technical drawing.

Other instruments to be determined by the instructor as needed.

Instruction on theory and technique with practical application will occur during class. Students are expected to complete any unfinished work at home in order to participate in the following week's lesson.

Prerequisites: No drawing experience necessary

There will be 1-2 hours of homework
