Welcome to the second half of our full year Art Appreciation course! World History, the recounting of His Story, as we uncover artifacts of our past. Artifacts are objects made by man, that tell the stories and the relationships with God our Creator. Together we will all participate in class discussions of the art, architects and artists.
For this second semester we will look into these topics, Pursuit of Power in Europe, Age of Reason, Industrial Revolution, The Great War, as well as several others, and continue our journey up to the Present. We will highlight artifacts each week, and Highlight Artists of the past. Each student will highlight an Artist and present to the class. Your sketch book will become Your Art Book, with all your details in full color. Class projects will be of various genres of art and several mediums will be used to create your own masterpieces.
Student Expectations: Participation in our in class discussions, in class artistic note taking, full completion of Your Art Book, homework and the completion of all in class projects. Save your notes, and Your Art Book if you plan to take World History (BJU 4th Ed.) in high school.
