This is a Performance Based Class.
Performance Date will be: Tuesday following the last day for co-op (fall), Tuesday before last co-op day (spring)
Students are expected to attend dress rehearsal and performance.

Fall Dress Rehearsal: Monday, Dec.16, 2019
Fall Concert: Tuesday, Dec. 17 2019
Spring Dress Rehearsal: Monday, May 4, 2020
Spring Concert: Tuesday, May 5, 2020
Fee: $55 (whole year)
A performance-based yearlong class where students are needed at all rehearsals. We will be learning 4-6 songs for a Christmas Concert and Spring concert
Students are asked to practice all songs at home and learn the basics of sight-singing. They will be singing in 2 or 3 part harmonies to a variety of choral music: Classical, Folk, Latin, and Traditional. We will be focusing on singing correctly using vocal techniques and exercises.

This class is designed for female and male students whose voices have not “matured” and still have a treble sound. As space allows, 3rd graders may sign-up for the class if they can read easily and with instructor permission. For more details see Deidre Myers.
Goals of the choir is to grow a love for singing, an opportunity to perform in a “real” performance type atmosphere, become better musicians, and strengthen relationships between each other and Christ. We will spend every rehearsal opening up in prayer giving our performance to God.
Expectations: Students will be expected to attend the mandatory dress rehearsal and concert. TENTATIVELY: Monday and Tuesday following last day of co-op (fall) and Monday Tuesday before last co-op day (spring)
Workload: Weekly sight-singing assignments (light) and learn the singing parts assigned.
Teacher Provides: Music selections and folders
Student provides: concert attire: black pants, shoes and long sleeve white shirt, black bow tie (for guys) long black below mid-calf skirt, black shoes and tights, and long sleeve white shirt (girls).
