Course Description:
We will base this class on the Further Up and Further In curriculum (http://cadroncreek.com/shop/further-up-and-further-in/).This literature rich study is based on C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia. Being unit-study based, it covers a wide range of subjects, including English and literature, history and social studies, geography, science, Bible and character building, cooking, and art. We will not be able to cover all of the subjects during class times, but additional activities will either be assigned for homework or suggested as optional enrichment.
We will spend four weeks on each of the books in Narnia series, and will cover all seven books between the two semesters. This class can stand as your student’s complete literature and writing curriculum.

Course Expectations:
Students are expected to read and complete all homework assignments before class each week.
Prerequisites:
Ability to read and write at a 4th-6th grade level or above.
Student Provides:
All seven "Chronicles of Narnia" books, pencils, crayons, creativity
Instructor Provides:
Binder, worksheets, activities
Workload:
Moderate, with approximately 50 pages of reading each week. There will also be short study guides and writing assignments to be completed at home. Homework should be approximately 2-3 hours per week.
