Age Range: 9-12We will start our study of American History with the rise of mills, factories and new inventions. The influx of immigration, Chicago Fire, beginning of Flight, Panama Canal, the Great Depression, briefly outline WW1 and WW2, presidents, and space exploration will be covered while focusing on famous people and events of the times. The students will have some reading at home and projects to work on in class. Many video clips will be viewed and a few reports given by students throughout our study. Several small books and handouts will be kept in a notebook for students to study.
Biography:Debbie has enjoyed teaching kindergarten, history and science homeschool classes for over 25 years and is excited to pass on her love of learning. She has a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement. Jim and Debbie have home schooled all of their five grown children. Now they are building into their 14 grandchildren.
