Description:

Elementary art will allow children to explore the creative and sometimes messy processes of the visual arts.  We will visit different art movements and artists while presenting the elements of art with crafts.  The students will practice craftsmanship, and develop their art box of techniques through experimentation and directed instruction. Some of the activities will include marbling with shaving cream, thick (impasto) paint like Van Gogh, paper mache, Model Magic and more traditional painting and watercolor.

Biography:

Adrianne has been a teacher since she was in kindergarten and came home to teach her younger brother everything she had learned that day.  (She must have been pretty good too because he skipped.)  More recently she has taught history, art appreciation, English, literature, logic and worldviews.  She and her husband, David, homeschooled their three boys.

Class meets on Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 10:25 AM & on Thursday from none to none
