Hours/Week: 1
Max/Min Students: 12/4
Grade Range: 9-12**This is a semester only class geared toward all 9-12th grade students, male and female.**
This is a beginner class that will include such things as changing tires, changing spark plugs, charging a battery, adding washer fluid, and changing oil. We will explore the many systems of an automobile and have many hands on opportunities. We will be working on a vehicle in the St. Joe's parking lot. This is geared toward boys and girls both, who should be familiar with basic automotive systems and maintenance.
Expectations: Students would be required to be respectful, participate in class discussions and demonstrations. There may be a small amount of reading homework but I would prefer this to be a fun class that encourages the student to be familiar with their vehicles.
This class will be for high school credit.
Teacher provides: I will be providing safety glasses for each student.
Student provides: This class will be following the text book Auto Upkeep Basic Car Care, Maintenance and Repair the 3rd edition. iSBN 978-1-62702-005-3. Students will not need the book unless they would like it.
