HISTORY: IF YOU WERE... (Spring semester) $10
What was it like to have sailed on the Mayflower in 1620? Was the room filled with tension and excitement when they signed the constitution? How would you have felt if you traveled across the Atlantic to come to America and find that your name was changed at Ellis Island? Would you have stayed in New York or travelled west in a covered wagon? Would you have made it all the way to San Francisco and experienced the great earthquake? What was it like to live 100 years ago and how does it compare to today? IF YOU had been there and done those things, I bet you would have a lot to tell. Well, this class will take you through some important events in our history and more. You will learn about important people that made them happen, how the early Americans lived, how these events changed our history and our lives, and do some games and fun projects along the way.
Course Expectations:
Students are expected to be respectful and kind to one another, to listen and participate in the class discussion.
Prerequisites: None
